Hello, my name is Jenni Alasuutari. I am a member of the Vantaa City Council and the Vantaa and Kerava Wellbeing Services County Council.

I am a candidate in the 2027 parliamentary elections in the Uusimaa constituency.

On these pages, you will find information about me and the societal issues that are important to me.

I’m glad you found your way to my website.

Please feel free to get in touch if you have ideas on how we can together make Finland an even better place. You can find my email address at the bottom of the page.

My themes:

LET’S PRESERVE OUR FORESTS!

Forests in Vantaa should not be cut down – new development should primarily be planned on wastelands, underutilized old industrial areas, and similar sites.

MORE FAMILY HOUSING!

I promise to work towards building more family apartments in Vantaa instead of small studio flats.

ENSURING SUFFICIENT RESOURCES FOR DAYCARE CENTERS AND SCHOOLS!

Learning outcomes have declined, schools are restless, and both teachers and early childhood educators are exhausted. We should introduce flexible teaching groups and ensure that non-native speakers acquire proficiency in Finnish or Swedish.

GENUINE CITIZEN PARTICIPATION IN DECISION-MAKING!

We must utilize various participation methods to ensure that residents’ voices are truly heard in decision-making.

I have studied service design, which means developing services in a human-centered way, actively involving the users of those services. Dialogue with residents can be carried out using service design tools such as surveys, interviews, ideation workshops, and observation. Nowadays, there are also many digital tools available to collect and take residents’ opinions into account.

My themes for the social, health and rescue services sector:

FASTER ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE!

People must be able to receive care quickly, and private service providers should also be utilized to reduce queues. The most important thing is to get treatment on time. It is much more efficient and cost-effective to invest in preventive care rather than allowing problems to worsen.

FASTER RESPONSE TO CALL REQUESTS

Call requests should be answered within a few hours, not several days.

IMPLEMENT DIGITAL APPOINTMENT BOOKING

Private healthcare centers are far ahead of public ones in developing digital services. Many things could also be handled more efficiently in public healthcare by enabling online appointment booking, telemedicine services, and more.
